Alai - a Tagua nut Pendant

$12.00

Imperfectly Perfect. There is no better way to describe these Tagua Nut slices.

Sourced from the Tagua palm tree all the way from the Amazon rainforests, these nuts are also called “the vegetable ivory” and used to make traditional pieces of art.

The nut slices, naturally dyed by Colombian farmers in a gorgeous blue, makes for a stunning and sustainable piece of jewelry.

We added our creative touch to transform them into pendants and couldn’t be happier with how ethereal they turned out.

We have named her Alai after the Tamil word wave that reminds us not just of the magnificence of the ocean but also the new wave of sustainable fashion.
